How?

How does it work?

There is a light bulb underneath the glass, which heats up the water and the wax inside. The wax is then warm enough to rise up and create the inconic effect after about 45-60 minutes. Then the bubbles start to cool down and sink back to the bottom. This process repeats until you turn off the light bulb.

Whats about the temperature?

A lava lamp heats up to 60-71 degrees Celsius (140-160°F). This is why there is a heat warning on the lava lamp.

Are there risks?

You should turn off the lava lamp after 2-3 hours to avoid damage and please dont touch it while it is running.
